Behind every start, there is a team. People who prepare, welcome, mark the course, provide refreshments and share the same goal: to give you a great adventure.
One team, both on the ground and behind the scenes.
The faces of the adventure
Everyone has their own role, personality and way of bringing Siberia to life.
Pierre-Alexandre, aka P-A, is the founder of the Trail de la Sibérie… and fills a good part of the positions that need filling! You may spot him marking the course, behind the bar, out on the trails or in front of his screen creating the website. One day his boots are in the mud, the next his fingers are in the code: everyone has their own idea of working from home!
His pleasure? Designing routes that take your breath away… and tire your legs out a little too. So if you find yourself grumbling on a climb, there’s a good chance he’s the one you should be thinking of!
A little anecdote: every time I go running on the Sibérie routes during the year, I end up wondering: “What idiot created these routes?!” Before remembering that… oh yes, that was us.
Julien
TDLS founder - Organisation & Coordination
Julien, aka BP to those in the know, always has something to say about what the others are doing… and for a Chimay, you’ll even get the full analysis! A great fan of crazy stuff, both on foot and by bike, he is behind our toughest routes. If you’re wondering “but why are we being sent this way?!”, look no further: it’s probably one of BP’s ideas.
BP likes to go out marking the course alone in the evening, so he can cross paths with a few wild boar in the woods. Apparently, they’re the only ones who don’t question his route choices…
Maïté
Registration Management & Communication
Maïté is the other half of the duo that brings the Sibérie to life! From the preparations to the big weekend, she puts all her energy into the adventure and makes sure you have a great time. But her biggest challenge remains living with P-A’s “I have a little idea…” A phrase that rarely starts with rest and often ends with a new distance added to the programme! 😂
A little ritual? We never start without an espresso... See 2 for the Sibérie!
Kevin
Event Manager
Kevin is our Event Manager: P-A comes up with the ideas, and he works out how to fit them into a schedule! Managing teams and aid stations, course marking, logistics… he turns “it would be nice to do this” into action on the ground. If everyone knows where to go, at what time and with what equipment, and your aid station is well stocked, there is a good chance Kevin has had a hand in it!
Because of his small stature and slightly Ch’ti accent, Kevin inherited the nickname “Atchoum”. We tease him about it a lot… but sometimes forget that he is the one who makes the schedules. A word of advice: wait until you know your time slot before laughing!
Philippe
Event Manager
Philippe is our Event Manager and Kevin’s right-hand man! Teams, aid stations, course marking, logistics: he makes sure everything runs smoothly on the ground. In life, he enjoys sport, gin and his 14 h nap. So for a meeting at that time, make sure Kevin is available… or speak quietly!
A little anecdote: Philippe made P-A invest in a good coffee machine for the events. Because here, before getting the organisation running, you have to get an espresso flowing. No coffee, no start… not even for the staff!
A story of friendship.
A collective adventure.
La Sibérie grows together with everyone who brings it to life: the organising team, volunteers, local partners and runners. An adventure rooted in its region, shared well beyond a finish line.
The organising team
Designing the courses, securing permits, coordinating logistics and welcoming runners: a race takes months to build, long before the first start.
The volunteers
At bib collection, on the trails, at the aid stations and at the finish, volunteers give their time and energy. Their presence makes all the difference to the runners’ experience.
Local stakeholders
Municipalities, associations, landowners and local partners help bring the event to life. These ties allow us to share our playgrounds while respecting the places and the people who live there.
Do you love the spirit of La Sibérie? Meet our team on two other playgrounds in the Belgian Ardennes. Each race has its own character, landscapes and history.
Nadrin · Ourthe Valley
Trail du Hérou
The Ardennes, as close as it gets to the rock.
Starting in Nadrin, Le Hérou takes you along the steep trails of the Ourthe Valley. Rocks, forests and elevation gain come together in a trail with a strong character. Our team took over its organisation in 2026, with the desire to keep its history and its famous bell at the finish alive.
The UTHA explores the Hautes Fagnes and Haute Ardenne, with Baraque de Fraiture as its meeting point. A point-to-point trail on Saturday, loop courses on Sunday: an adventure to experience over one or two days, extended by the encounters and conviviality of the base camp.
